RNAV Approach Instructions Not Given by ATC

Featured Replies

With the latest betas (7&8), I took an IFR flight from KTYS to KFNT.  Runway 18 at KFNT was correctly selected as the expected runway based on winds.  This runway only has an RNAV approach (no ILS).  However, when getting close to KFNT, I wasn't given any instructions for the approach.  No descent, no "expect RNAV approach with the xxx transition, etc."  Just silence.

Check you flight plan settings in Config.  Be sure the ATC Assigns Approach option is checked, and be sure you file a valid flight plan.

Then update to Beta 8D as the earlier ones did have some issues with the arrival.

If you still have a problem, email the log file from the flight to [email protected] and I'll have a look.  P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs

where <UserName> is your PC user name.

Yep, 'ATC Assigns Approach' option was checked and a flight plan validated and filed, using 8D.  Sending log file shortly.

Retested in 8E and it works great!  Thanks!
