October 16, 20223 yr Finally tried Aerowinx PSX with MSFS and it is just incredible, in my opinion. Dont have to worry at all about performance in MSFS as it is used only as scenery generator. Gary has created an very simple smooth injector that just works and also works with vPilot (freq, transponder, pressure). «Fully» integrated with Simbrief through Simfest (also developed by Gary), BACARS, etc Perhaps only limitation is weather depicted in PSX might not reflect what you see visually in MSFS, but that boils down to that CB that is painted in red on PSX wx radar But PSX downloads METAR, and NG FMC addon even SIGMETS (dont own the NG FMC yet). So all in all no big issue, for me. And yes, it does not have Virtual Cockpit, so that might be dealbreaker for someone The depth of PSX sim is astounding though. Yes, it is expensive, but when I summed all the money I spent on various MSFS add-ons it is not horrifying. Recommend it highly. Now I need to buy that NG FMC addon.
October 16, 20223 yr @JU108, thank you for creating this thread ! I no longer use PSX, but used it for years and it's predecessor - PS1. In times of PS1 a similar approach was possible, first with fs9, then with FSX, and it was already great ! I used different injectors, also for X-Plane, and theyy used to look even better with XP, but with the advent of MFS, and the way it really shines scenery wise, PSX + MFS is the "Perfect Ultimate" combination 🙂 There being no historical weather in MFS flights should be conducted in real weather, downoading the METAR and GRIB in PSX. Blend should be great !
