Are there multiple camera.cfg files? At wits end!

Featured Replies

I'm obsessed with my wingviews and just have to set them up using real world pics as a reference. It takes some time so I make sure I back up the cameras.cfg . In this example its for the Asobo A320neo:

Microsoft Flight Simulator\Official\Steam\asobo-aircraft-a320-neo\SimObjects\AirPlanes\Asobo_A320_NEO\cameras.cfg

Sure enough I had to reinstall the game after things went pear shaped but I didn't worry because my saved camera.cfgs were in my Google Drive.

After a fresh new install of MSFS I copy-pasted my cameras.cfgs into their respective airplane folders and....nothing. They didn't work in the game. Not a single one of them. I had to set them all over again.

So I ask - why? What am I doing wrong? Are there other cameras.cfgs scattered about?

Thanks for any info!

Custom camera views are stored here: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_A320_NEO\cameras.CFG

The file you backed up is simply the default camera views and is never modified when creating custom views.
