Opencockpits CDU with MSFS

Hi guys, I'm looking at a used condition Opencockpits CDU and from what I understand it is easy enough to get it configured. But my real quesiton, is there any kind of performance hit with it? Looking forward to your replies.

I don't have one, but if it all is outsourced to seperate pc's then I wouldn't expect any performance hit, since there is only a very small simconnect/networking communication overhead.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, HP Reverb G2 VR headset @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Aeronautical Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Thanks for the reply. Hmm, I have just done some research on the OC site and the manual says you have to drag the virtual screen across to the real CDU. When I have done this with the RealSim Gear GNS530 there is a 25-30% fps hit! If any 'in sim' window is dragged off the main monitor to another, then there is a performance hit. I posted this before I had read the manual, just trying to get real world feedback from another user.

unfortunately those addons obviously are not stand alone apps but simply mov an MSFS window to a separate monitor. that was also a big fps killer in P3D.

Exactly, and that is what you have to do with  the Opencockpits CDU, move the virtual CDU screen across. Looks like I won't be buying the item after all.
