Your system is kaputt would be my quick take.

I am glad it is a quick take!   Lots of people having it and in discussion over on the official forum, so all of our systems turned kaput together?

It started for the vast majority about the same time, during SU10 beta, and with certain drivers that were updated around the same time, but you can't roll back on drivers if you want to use DX12 and DLSS effectively.  I cleared the shader cache on mine and haven't seen it since, but that hasn't worked for everyone.

Not much communication from Asobo or Nvidia on it.  Temps on CPU and 3080 have been below 70C on mine when it happened.  No system stress or temperature issues, so I think that was a bit of a throwaway remark.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I am having issues like this since about a year, on two different computers. I need 3-5 tries to start the sim once, it is closed by the OS either during loading or at the latest after pressing "fly now". Memory errors and the Graphics Driver message - or just silent CTD. When I do get it working, it never runs more than 20 minutes.

Since this was the case on the previous computer too, I am starting to think that it is my USB devices (I have a lot of those). Especially since there are other issues too, pointing that way - when MSFS is already running, and I start another USB related software, say, the Elgato StreamDeck App, then MSFS freezes and the USB connection sounds play a couple of times. Sometimes the sim comes back after a couple of minutes, sometimes it just closes.

It is not critical, because I don't have time to fly anyway - and for testing things 20 minutes is about enough. But it sure is annoying. Would be nice if I could turn off the USB Controller logic in MSFS, like in FSX and P3D. Or at least blacklist some devices so MSFS ignores them.
