Experiences with JF C-152

Featured Replies

I finally got around to rebuilding FSX after a couple years out of the hobby.  Part of the process was installing all my payware aircraft.  During flight testing I encounter the payware Just Flight C152.   Absolutely horrendous visual performance.  I've found it impossible to get a smooth scroll of the cockpit.  Outside of the aircraft is fairly fluid, but inside it's move the POV, wait.. wait.. wait, for the view to catch up.

I'm not sure if it's due to their 2048x 048 cockpit graphics or if one of my background apps is conflicting with it.  I'm in the process of converting the textures to 1024x1024, but while doing so, I was hoping I would luck into another owner who could share their experiences.  Failing that I'll hit the JF forum, though I honestly don't expect much.

This is the only aircraft I have this issue with.

Thanks,
Ernie

Update: Wow! Can't say enough good about Simon at Just Flight.

He linked me to the latest version of the C152, which unfortunately didn't solve my issue.  What did, however, was his suggestion to see if I had FSX running in compatibility mode... I did.  I removed the option and scrolling works as it should.  Just wouldn't have figured that out on my own.

I still have issues with the aircraft slow loading textures in the opening scenario screen, but that happens to a lesser degree with some of my other aircraft.  It does eventually refresh and doesn't cause flight issues, so not something I'm too concerned with.

But that compatibility thing.. gonna have to keep it in mind..
