SU10 vs SU11 release notes for VR users

Featured Replies

Spot the difference.....guess we'll just have to live with VR being a very very low priority item for MS/Asobo going forward, shameful that they broke so much in SU7 (a year ago....) and still haven't bothered to properly fix their mistakes....let alone the new bugs we got in SU5....are you reading this Jorg Neumann? Sort your mess out and pay attention to VR please, this isn't good enough. /rant

SU10:

  • Depth Reprojection Option added to get smoother experience
  • Adding a world scale perception option slider in the VR graphics settings
  • Frustum Culling support for canted displays
  • Fixed the default opening position in VR
  • In flight panel window positions are now saved after closing and reopening from the toolbar in VR
  • Fixed Toolbar Panels opened in VR are still opened when switching to normal mode
  • Fixed the raycast not being aligned with the arrow and the white dot when moving the motion controllers in VR
  • Fixed a bug where World Scale modification was not saved

SU11:

  • Fixed VR default panel opening position
  • Toolbar panels opened in VR are no longer open when switching to normal mode
  • Flight panel windows positions are now saved after closing and reopening from the toolbar
  • Fixing rendering issues using canted displays
  • Fixed Raycast not aligned with cursor in main menu

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Thanks for posting that list Marc.

I'm happy to say I see an improvement in VR. The persistent aerosol/haze has been reduced (finally!) and TAA now looks similar to what it did back in the very early releases from what I can recall. DLSS still gives blurry distant objects but not so much with TAA now.

Trees and grass look better imo

Controller latency appears to have been reduced

DX12 still poor performance

...but a step forward overall 👍

p.s I like the helicopter! Feels pretty right and also fairly easy to fly for folks new to choppers (won't scare them away)
