November 13, 20223 yr I'm trying to manually set weather to get good/easy gliding conditions with updrafts. 1) I see in the forum real word glider pilots. What settings do you use in MSFS ? temperature, winds, time, clouds, .... 2) how to you spot the updrafts ? I did the tutorial and I activate the visibility of thermals. November 13, 20223 yr Hi @gcharrie, at flightsimulator.to their are a couple gliders that come with soaring weather presets, you could try those. Meanwhile try to set the season to Spring or Summer, T around 25ºC will do, few Cu or scatered, getting their bases starting at around 5000' AGL ( good soaring day 🙂 ) and pushing the tops to 6000+' ... Low wind... I havent yet figured if MFS models some sort of mountain effect on the cloud base height.
