So many filters with so many settings! It can take a while to find settings that work for you, but when you find that sweet spot, results can be amazing! Here is a screenshot near KIGM with my Reshade settings - combined with XP12's superb lighting, the results are sublime! January 10, 20233 yr I know that elsewhere, MrBitstflyer has said Reshade probably is no longer that useful in XP12, but perhaps there may still be a benefit from one of his chosen filters - LumaSharpen. It seems to improve my lower-level images. Nvidia CP running on my 3090ti doesn't offer a sharpening option. Any opinion on this, Mr Bits (apart from recommending an optician)?

Well, I have started to use Reshade again for three reasons: 1. I find ground ortho textures a little 'cold'. 2. XP12 needs sharpening. 3. I like a little more saturation - just a little! Sharpening - although I highly rate LumaSharpen, I have changed to AMD CAS sharpening. It is a more subtle than LumaSharpen but I like the effect. I did try NVidia's sharpening in the NVCP but prefer CAS sharpening. Colour temperature - PD80_01B_RT_Correct_Color.fx. I used this before because it automatically removes colour casts and adjusts the colour temperature to where I like it. It is a turn on and forget filter. Saturation - I use Colourfulness.fx to add a slight bump to saturation. I use a setting of ten which is a very small increase. Colourfulness.fx first, then PD80_01B_RT_Correct_Color.fx followed by sharpening. I don't remember which release candidate it was, but the lighting became a little too 'white' & 'cool' for my taste. I used XP12 for a month but this bugged me so I went back to Reshade. The changes are slight, but just enough for my personal preference. 30 minutes ago, Brian Mackie said: Nvidia CP running on my 3090ti doesn't offer a sharpening option A simple edit to your registry will return the sharpening option to Nvidia Control Panel: I have applied this edit to my registry to try Nvidia sharpening, but I prefer what's available in Reshade. January 11, 20233 yr In Saturation, do you mean 0.10? Ten seems a large increase, when compared to the two default settings.
January 14, 20233 yr So I read up on this a bit more and set Saturation to 0.10, which enriches the ground colours nicely, but on my rig it put excessive magenta into the clouds, particularly when you get close to them, or inside. Adjusting PD80_01B_RT_Correct_Color.fx did the trick. Reshade is a tweaker's paradise...
April 7, 20233 yr i've lost the ability to use Reshade on XP12.05b1 and b2. Anyone else? I have reverted to 12.04r3 for Reshade and will stay there for now. I am reading up and it seems LR may be waiting on Reshade to make some sort of changes.

April 7, 20233 yr I am happy for you. I've never had a problem with Reshade until now, Zink aside. Reshade never worked with Zink for me, in fact Zink never worked for me. I have a similar processor to yours, i9-9900, but my video card is a EVGA 3060. I rolled back the driver to 531.41 from 531.54, and also tried Reshade v5.7.0 and backed down to Reshade 5.5.2 with both drivers - no joy. When I replace X-plane.exe with the version from XP12.04r3 both Reshade version run with both drivers. I guess I spent the whole morning on this and my takeaway is just YMMV.
April 12, 20233 yr Author I have used Reshade for quite a while with XP12, but as it doesn't work with Zink I took a look at the ShadeX plugin to add some saturation to XP12. In fact, I find just adding some saturation to XP12 is enough as the rest of the lighting is superb. Here are a couple of screenshots showing XP12 with shadeX (this is the UK where I have started using ARC for the Ortho). Shout out to @Baber20 for his excellent xEnhancer cloud Lua script. A very showery day in the UK!
