November 27, 20223 yr Hello Alex, Love the product but having trouble loading the database for MSFS into the Map! Attached below are some screenshots of what I have as install paths! How do I attach a Log.txt file if needed? I have tried several options to no avail! Running Win10, XP11.5 and P3D instatlled fine into 2.8! Thanks in advance, Roger
November 27, 20223 yr Looks like a strange installation spot. Try "Reset paths" in the loading dialog. Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
November 27, 20223 yr BTW: This does not look like the latest: https://albar965.github.io/release/2022/11/26/littlenavmap-beta-283-released.html Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Tried the reset paths option many times, always takes me back to this path! Purchased thru MS Store and installed with their launcher, just used a different drive (not C:\)! Thanks for the reply!
November 27, 20223 yr Author You are correct, it is not 2.8.3, but will be updated today! Thanks! Doubt that will fix my troubles though! I may have to remove the sim and try a new install of it! That’s tough with slow internet! 😀

I may have to remove the sim and try a new install of it! That’s tough with slow internet! Do you use the 64-bit version of LNM? You can find this in window title bar. Maybe some paths are too long. More than 256 characters which is a limitation for some windows programs but normally LNM has no such limitation. Where is the file "UserCfg.opt" in your simulator installation and what is the last line in this file? Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
November 27, 20223 yr Author I don't see a 64 bit version here, is this where you mean? The last line of the Usercfg.opt is below! I have since downloaded and installed the 2.8.3 64bit version from your link but still no luck on database install! Thanks for the link! November 27, 20223 yr The 64 bit version for Xplane and MSFS2020 is at https://github.com/albar965/littlenavmap/releases/download/v2.8.3.beta/LittleNavmap-win64-2.8.3.beta.zip Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX MB; AMD 7800X3D CPU; Deepcool LT520 AIO Cooler; 64 Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000; Win11 Pro; P3D V5.4; 1 Samsung 990 2Tb NVMe SSD: 1 Crucial 4Tb MX500 SATA SSD; 1 Samsung 860 1Tb SSD; Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080ti 11Gb VRAM; Toshiba 43" LED TV @ 4k; Honeycomb Bravo.
November 27, 20223 yr You should really update if notified by LNM when using betas. I fixed plenty of bugs since 2.8.0.beta. 1 hour ago, wakashi said: Location Path: C:UsersUserNamerAppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbweLocalCache/Usercfg.opt InstalledPackagesPath "F:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3341711372-3885855260-1859407808-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages" Looks ok to me. Does "F:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3341711372-3885855260-1859407808-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages" now contain the "Community" and "Official" folders? Might be a permission problem if yes. Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
November 27, 20223 yr Author Yes, both folders are conained in the Packages folder! When you say permissions problem, I think I understand the problem but what is the solution, if you can help? Thanks, Roger

When you say permissions problem, I think I understand the problem but what is the solution, if you can help? Thanks, Roger This. I just picked a random folder as an example. You should have ownership (click "Advanced") and full access to the folders. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
November 27, 20223 yr Author Thank you Alex, I will dig into this a bit more and see what kind of permissions I have in place! Thanks for your time and knowledge and for LNM!
November 27, 20223 yr You're welcome. Let us know how its going. I'd normally recommend a sim re-installation as last resort but I'm afraid this is one of these cases. But try to fix the permissions first. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
December 3, 20223 yr Author Alex, Looks like a reinstall is in my near future, i have full permissions but still can’t access the database! I also can’t save camera views so maybe this will kill two birds with stone as they say! Thanks for your help attempts and keep up the great work on LNM! Roger
December 4, 20223 yr Ok. Hope the reinstallation helps. In some cases the whole Roaming folder had wrong permissions and users needed to create a new account. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
