Paris and some Châteaux

Featured Replies

We explore Paris again and some of the Châteaux along the river Loire.

The distance from Paris to the Loire is a bit long, so I divided this flight into two parts, Paris and Châteaux.

Both flights can be flown either with  “low and slow” airplanes like the Zenith, the Kitfox, or the Husky or a faster Helicopter like the H135 or H145.

I will be in a HPG H145 in the Germany "Luft- und Raumfahrtzentrum" livery

The Paris flight departs from Le Bourget (LFPB) and we do our first landings at Le Pin (LFPH), just as a warm-up. We then visit most POI of Paris, from Disneyland Paris in the east to Versailles in the southwest. To relax a bit, we land at Emerainville (LFPL). The final landing will be at Toussus-Le-Noble (LFPN).

The Paris flight has about 60 miles and two landing enroute.

Now we change airplanes/helicopters if desired and restart the second flight, Les Châteaux.

The Châteaux flight departs from Saint Florent (LFOD) and follows the river Loire. We visit Saumur, the Abbey Fontevraud, Chinon, and Villandry and land at Tours (LFOT). We overfly Amboise and turn away from the river to land at Dierre (LFEF) and visit Loches, Montpoupon, and Chenonceau. We could finish this flight then at Montrichard (LFZS). If time permits, we could continue and visit three more Châteaux, Blois, Chambord, and Menars before we end the flight at Le Breuil (LFOQ).

The Châteaux flight has about 100 miles and three landings.

The flight plans can be found here: Paris, Chateaux.
