I am just getting acquainted with the demo and I am not sure which keyboard press is used to bring back the p2a window when it disappears in the sim's full window mode. P2A "on top" option seems to work,but only erratically. I am not using voice, so I need  the window up and visible at all times. I am sure I've missed it in the manual, but going in and out of full window mode  does not appear to be the ideal way. thanks.

The SIM needs to be in Window mode for the On-Top feature to work.  This is the best option.

You can also use the Speech Assistant window and set a Hot Key to toggle it's visibility.

Also, for the entire window, you can set a Hot Key to Minimize and select the Minimize to Task Bar to hide and show the main window.
