wakes in GAISTv2 (or the lack thereof)

Featured Replies

I installed it yesterday (so last version), I see wake effect files in a sub-sub-sub-directory but no wake in the game even for fast moving ships. Do I miss something in the install setup ?

Hello Dominique.  As far as I know, not all of the ships have wakes added yet.
They intend to gradually work backwards to add them.  I haven't checked recently, but a few months ago it was only about 10% or 12% of the models had wakes.
Maybe someone else could clarify, but I didn't want you to think it was you doing something wrong.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Thanks Rob, I've been pretty inattentive  these recent months and I suppose I missed a thing or two. These ships are great stuff to learn how to hover in a heli and fly very slow 😃. I understand that they don't have hard deck yet either.

Yes - something else being worked on I believe.  I think Aerosoft have done it so it should be possible.

All the Aerosoft stuff is static.

Many Seafront Simulations moving ships are landable but it doesn't seem to play too well with AI routes.

They work fine but the ships twitch and flicker.

I'm doing moving carriers at the moment and I gave up on routes, not that I can get them to work very well anyway. The pre programmed Asobo straight line from the Maverick offering seems to stop the twitching.
