December 23, 20223 yr Hi Guys, I'm, at my wits end with Pilot2ATC. I never really used to have any issues but the last few months it just keeps causing me issues on most flights. Usually it simply stops responding, most often in cruse. Checking for the right frequency doesn't help (its set correctly) and I can hear via grammer checker my voice is coming through...i just get no responses which ends up in me closing the program and giving up. Anyway, I digress. In todays debarcle, mid cruise I needed to request a cimb from FL310 to FL340. Using voice, (which comes through clear as day in grammer checking) Pilot2ATC decided that my "UNITED 100 REQUEST CLIMB FLIGHT LEVEL 3 4 0" meant "UNITED 100 REQUEST DESCENT FL 3 0 0" and it started giving me descent instrucitons. Try what I may I couldn't get it to ignore them. So I want to give up on the voice because frankly its unreliable. However there are a number of comands that I can't seem to use SayIt for. I.e. when I use the say it prompts for Climb I use REQUEST and TO ALTITUDE but how do I enter the <altitude>? Clicking on that Say It line just inserts <Callsign> request climb to <altitude>. How can i use sayit to enter the altitude I want? Rant over. I continue spending the next 3 hours of this flight accross the Pacific trying to get the software to realise its a little early do descent to 3000 feet.
