December 28, 20223 yr Guys, can I find out what is the glideslope capture altitude from the Little Navmap map? It gives the angle (like 3 degrees) but I don't see GS capture altitude. I don't make flight plans in LNM. I use Simbrief instead. Thanks.

Yes, once you select the ILS approach, the FAF and GS intercept altitude is depicted on the green ILS arrow. In the pic below, EGIPT is the FAF at 1500ft for the ILS to Rwy 03 at PHKO. Same idea for an RNAV approach with a GP except there is no green arrow. And of course, the GS/GP intercept altitude and other important info is shown on the approach plate for the destination airport. Al This is the LNAV/VNAV approach to Rwy 35 at PHKO. December 28, 20223 yr Author Thank you, ark! Realistically, I have like five or six hours a week for flightsimmig. And it would be a good week. I am new to XP. So I am trying to figure out how to manage those hours timewise. Now I understand that I should make at least some flight plan - whatever short - to see the GS capture altitude in LNM. Alternatively, I can buy Navigraph subscription to get access to maps and plates. Is it correct? Thanks again for your assistance.
December 28, 20223 yr For maps, see http://vfrmap.com/ (they have both VFR and IFR maps). For approach plates, see https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_info/aeronav/digital_products/dtpp/search/. Both are free and US coverage. Happy New Year! December 28, 20223 yr Maps and US approach plates also available here https://skyvector.com/ at no cost. To find an approach plate, click on Airports, type in the ICAO code, e.g., KCOS, and then page down. Al Edited December 28, 20223 yr by ark
