January 4, 20233 yr My text editor had a crash and it saved an aircraft.cfg file for FSP 777W without any data. Is there a way to rebuild the file based on textures present in the folder? There is a utility to rebuild scenery.cfg based on scenery folders, - maybe something like that?
January 4, 20233 yr It's not just adding the textures, but also the parameters to define the flight characteristics of your plane. You may have a backup somewhere, where you can restore it from there. Otherwise reinstall the plane, add all repaints again. I keep all repaints and other stuff downloaded on an archive drive and also do daily backups of the flightsim stuff with Ashampoo Backup Pro 14, which is free. A 4 TB USB drive doesn't cost a lot today. I don't have the FSP 777W but maybe someone else can just send you the aircraft.cfg from him and maybe you even get most of your repaints. January 4, 20233 yr There are installers from Justflight and Aerosoft I think but they rely on ini files to add the right entries. Sometimes the info for the aircraft.cfg is in the texture directory. Otherwise you need to have the zip again with the texture. You can fill up the information manually but it is work too.
