January 19, 20233 yr \ Left KESN, Easton Maryland, for KCMI, Chaimpaign-Urbana, Illinois. This just north of KIAD, near Washington, DC. What did I do? Overflying KIAD and looks like they have scrambled after me! Count them! Nine (9) below, all on the same vector! What in the world? I am nearing FL300 on the way to 360! I had an IFR clearance! And I squalked the correct transponder code! Checked several news sources and can find no explanation! LOL! Fortunately, whoever they were they kept flying north, so later I pretty much had the skies to myself over southern Ohio!
