January 19, 20233 yr Hello fellow simmers I recently bought FSDG's Bremen (EDDW). After installation in P3Dv4.5, I also activated SODE jetways via FSDG's SODE Link. The jetways are showing, but when I want to move them via GSX or SODE's own device, it always says: "no jetway can operate at this position". This happens at every stand with jetways. What could cause that? Just before writing this, I also tried Caratnya's GSX-Profile. Result: No jetway can operate... I slewed the plane forward, backward, to the left and to the right a few meters – no change. Any help appreciated! Greetings Michael
January 20, 20233 yr Maybe the plane is the problem. Is it properly configured? Try another plane too. Is the plane the about the size to expect at this parking? Sometimes there are 2-3 parkings close together. Usually the jetway is only able to be used from the main parking, e.g. Parking 4 and 4a, 4b. If you're on 4a or 4b it will not work but on 4. January 20, 20233 yr Usually when that error occurs, the plane is parked in the wrong position, either too far forward or too far back (not left or right) in order for the jet way to reach the aircraft. The easiest thing is to re-position forward or backwards from its original start position using the slew command in P3D. If that's done already as you indicated above, then next thing to try is go into GSX and the airport customization option and adjust the parking of the plane for the problematic parking spot AND also re-position the Stop position so that they are both aligned so that the aircraft door is close to the jetway. The 3rd reason why that may not work is because the jetways may not reach due to the wrong type/length of jetway being selected. i.e. the jetway may only have a 10ft reach while other GSX jetways have a longer reach.Maybe there is some conflict with another SODE file? How many SODE XML files for Bremen can you find. There should only be one.In GSX you should be able to find out exactly which jetway type/style is in use at each gate.Usually the GSX jetway description will give you an indication of how long the jetway can physically reach. January 20, 20233 yr I just checked with my Bremen install. I had interference with the ORBX Germany north scenery. The plane parked on the ORBX scenery parking, visible was the FSDG Bremen scenery. After removing all FTX... Bremen sceneries everything works. January 21, 20233 yr Author Thank you for all your hints. They didn't solve the problem, though. I tried different airplanes, but the problem persists. And I don't have ORBX Germany North installed. I think the jetways must be too short - quite weird because I use the SODE-file provided by FSDG. So everyone would have this issue..
January 21, 20233 yr @fio Did you configure the scenery to use sode jetways? Are they installed? You need to download them on the FSDG site https://fsdg-online.com/Tools/FSDG-SODE-link::3.html Then you should have the jetways as can be seen on my picture above. Did you have a Bremen scenery before you bought this one, maybe freeware, still connected to the sim? To be sure not to have any other AFCAD search with Windows search or Everything search for *EDDW*.bgl . If it finds other files than the ones in D:\Users\***\Dokumente\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSDG-Bremen\FSDG-Bremen\scenery, you got the problem. Last, if nothing helps, a quick reinstall of Bremen and everything will be fine, hopefully.
