January 22, 20233 yr Whilst I normally install most of my addons in the community folder, I have installed some of them into the localcache/packages/official/onestore folder. Whilst I can see no difference in the results whichever location is used, does it actually make any difference other than the community folder is a neater solution. January 22, 20233 yr I wouldn't be putting anything in the official onestore folder other than what the sim or marketplace installs there or it might be a recipe for disaster at some stage. That folder is meant for Microsoft, that is why they gave us the community folder. It might cause problems during updates when it audits what is in there. Can you remember the files you transferred? I would move them back to the community folder. Why don't you do what a lot of us do and install addon linker, and make a new folder anywhere you like on any fast drive, call it maybe something like 'MSFSaddons' (the name doesn't matter). That way, using addon linker, you can install addons into the sim, or take them out in seconds, before starting the sim - it is just a few clicks. It makes links from your addon files directly in the community folder and works really well. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. January 23, 20233 yr Author Thanks Bob. I only have addons from the store in the official folder atm as far as I can remember, but note your comments and double check.
