January 26, 20233 yr I have been installing a couple of bargain finds lately and this bit of a programme called AFLT starts now every I start P3D. Googling leads me to FSdeveloper and the application has buttons to connect and disconnect. Any idea what this is all about?
January 26, 20233 yr Google found this http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?JS=True&Folder=AFLT Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX MB; AMD 7800X3D CPU; Deepcool LT520 AIO Cooler; 64 Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000; Win11 Pro; P3D V5.4; 1 Samsung 990 2Tb NVMe SSD: 1 Crucial 4Tb MX500 SATA SSD; 1 Samsung 860 1Tb SSD; Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080ti 11Gb VRAM; Toshiba 43" LED TV @ 4k; Honeycomb Bravo.
January 26, 20233 yr On my system, AFLT was part of Milviz Beale scenery. I think it's needed to show the lights in this scenery. If you get the AFLT software from the link above, you can create lights yourself, but it does not start itself with the sim. This is started with an add-on.xml from the scenery it uses it. I had some problems with it and therefore reinstalled the whole scenery. Now works much better but still, I sometimes have 2 instances of AFLT running, since it does not shut down with the sim. January 27, 20233 yr Author It resided in main P3D folder, it may well be related with Milviz Beale. Anyway problem solved.
January 27, 20233 yr You can also just shut it down after it started but runway lights at Beale at least, will not show then. January 27, 20233 yr 1 hour ago, Nurmblitz said: Strange and complicated technique. I think they thought it's the better option, than the default lights. We will probably never know. At least for me as a freeware airport author, I could imagine to add edge lights this way and then I also had to urge people to use AFLT. My AFLT is not in the sim main directory but here ...\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\AFLT for P3D The one from Milviz is called AFLT (SimObjects).exe The add-on.xml is below. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on"> <AddOn.Name>AFLT for P3D</AddOn.Name> <AddOn.Description>P3D Custom Lights</AddOn.Description> <AddOn.Component> <Category>SimObjects</Category> <Path>SimObjects</Path> </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component> <Category>Effects</Category> <Path>Effects</Path> </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component> <Category>Texture</Category> <Path>Scenery\texture</Path> </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component> <Category>EXE</Category> <Path>AFLT (SimObjects).exe</Path> </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component> <Category>Scenery</Category> <Path>Scenery\scenery</Path> <Name>AFLT Lights</Name> <Layer>1542</Layer> </AddOn.Component> </SimBase.Document> If you have this too and want to disable just rename add-on.xml to add-on.off OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons) Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft MB=Gigabyte AORUS Z790 Elite AX, CPU=i13900K, Cooling=Be quiet!
