Reality XP Features Question

Featured Replies

I am considering buying reality xp for the gns530 today.

What im curious about is if it can still be "Popped out" like the stock Xplane12 gps can be so that i can move it over to my RSG gns530.

Also i need to be able to still remove the bezel and the white bar at the top of it if its in popped out windowed mode.

Really like the splash screen garmin load . thats literally the reason why i am interested in buying the product. :)

thankyou!!

I believe the RealityXP GNS 530 can do this. It can certainly be placed into its own window and dragged off the screen.

That being said, if you are literally buying this for a Garmin splash screen, I would pass. A major reason is that the Reality XP stock 530 database is quite outdated (from 2016), and to update it requires purchasing a new databse from Garmin or Jeppesen. The 2016 database is missing a lot of RNAV approaches that are are very useful for simulating actual IFR missions. The main reason I would buy the RealityXP GNS530 is to accurately model the 530's use with your physical simulator, so you can learns the ins and outs before sitting in a real airplane at $200/flight hour.

And you can sort do that for free in Garmin trainer without RXP anyway....

I bought 430 with 750 and only used it for like 2 flight before staring to regret not buy the 650 instead...
