AAO interacting with logitech radio panel

Featured Replies

Hello all,

i have a problem with the logitech radio panel and AAO, especially with fenix A320: If i run the radio panel without AAO, everything is fine. If i start AAO mostly the inner knob getting weird. The digits hopping between three digits after semicolon and two digits after semicolon back and forth. Sometimes the frequency showing on the radio panel divers from the frequency in the aircraft.

I already changed the WebAPI Port to 6080.

You can also check this video: https://streamable.com/gkaco7

That is by design. As the AAO manual says, when the sim is in 8,333 KHz mode (which is the default for MSFS) the radio panel will shift the frequency to the left while you are turning the knob so you can see the last digit (which would otherwise be lost, because the display on the radio panel is missing that digit).

You can switch the sim to 25KHz mode by pressing and holding the swap key on the radio panel for a second.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with the SaitekPanels.

I have no idea what events are required to change the frequencies in the Fenix. Be mindful that they can be completely different from the defaults.

Hi!

Thank you for your reply. I didn't even know that AAO supports the logitech/saitek hardware by default.

Then i will follow your proposals and check all the other options in the hardware menu.

Best regards, Björn

It doesn't, at least not by default. Only when you activate the SaitekPanels in the Hardware menu.

Hi.

Are there any user profiles for the Saitek Multifunction (AP) panel ?

Just wondering what type of customisation is possible... like changing function of trim wheel and flap lever etc.

Sane for Honeycomb throttle quadrant like the various switches, single, double long presses etc... or are these options built in to the A & Ohs software.

Only just getting to grips with basic controllers so far....

Thnx.

The Honeycomb is just another controller.

The Saitek Panel is a different story, as AAO has a separate module for them. Their buttons normally don't show up on the assignment dialog. "Normally", because you can switch a Saitek Panel to "MIDI mode" in AAO, and then you can configure the buttons like any other controller. There is a separate chapter about the Saitek Panels in the AAO manual.
