Fenix A320 minor issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could help with these few minor issues I have come across with the Fenix. I fly it quite often and have noticed one or two small issues (it could be me screwing something up!)

Discord:

As most users will know the discord needs to be linked to your account, I am pretty sure I did that in the beginning when I first purchased it, this opens up extra owner only channels. I noticed that the chat seemed to have stopped in November, found a message from Aamir stating that the discord needed to be linked to your purchase in order to see the chat channels and to follow the link. I did that and got as far as the "Authorise Discord" button, but it just comes up with your Discord is not authorised when I click authorise...not sure what do next?

Aileron Droop after shutdown:

This is a really a minor issue, but just wonder if anyone else experienced it, after both engines are shutdown my hydraulic pressure drops off, my vert stab weather vanes correctly, however my ailerons appear to start to droop, but seem to then go through a cycle of slightly drooping and then resetting into a neutral position, this is visible externally as well as on the control position indications on the lower ECAM. I was wondering if this is a bug, or perhaps something interfering on my side? It does seem to be intermittent though and as I say the vert stab always seems to weather vane as expected.

No SRS after a turnaround:

After a short turn around and a new departure I noticed that I had some odd behaviours on the take off roll, again this could have been  on my end. I had no SRS display when selecting Flex and then on rotation and climb, on selecting gear up I got a brief "too low, gear down audio alert". I had selected the next leg, programmed the MCDU, take off speeds calculated and entered etc.

Aircraft full power down:

Lastly, I rarely fully power down the aircraft after a flight, however the other night I did and noticed some odd behaviours.

Basic process:

  • Engines off
  • APU off
  • External power off and disconnected
  • Batteries 1 + 2 off

Displays remained on until I cycled through external view and then back to the deck, that seemed to have kicked the sim into the realisation that there was no power and the cockpit shut down. Again, is the power down expected to take a 20 seconds or should we expect the screens to power down as soon as we power off batteries 1 + 2?

Again these are really minor, I love this aircraft and fly it almost exclusively!

Many thanks for any input!

Thanks Bob, yeah sounds like something I probably should have thought of myself! haha!

Have you ever noticed any of the other bits on the Fenix?

Many thanks,

Anthony
