February 16, 20233 yr Updated to v3.4.4 and seeing some strange behavior of the AP in ALT mode (I'm using the PMS GTN750). Randomly (2-3 times in a typical 1-hour flight) the plane will suddenly pitch up from level flight, without any changes in the AP indicators, and eventually stall if I let it. If I click on the VS button at that time it will show some crazy setting, like 1800 fpm. I can re-select the altitude, dial in an appropriate VS, and she will happily return to the selected altitude ... until it happens again 15-20 minutes later. I've tired this with no other mods in the Community folder (other than the PMS 750). I've gone back to 3.4.3, the AP behaves as expected.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the PMS50 GTN 750 (ver 2.1.69). Also, if you happen to be using the C414 HSI Auto GPS Course Alignment mod for the PMS50 GTN750 or the GNS 530, you need to update the mod for the latest version of the C414 here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/kmjuy9fhndi8i2hoi9u66/h?dl=0&rlkey=si6p5h46n8uhyhrmh2hq113dj . If the AP ALT problem persists, suggest you post on the FSW Discord under Support - community-pc . That's the best place to get help with the C414. February 16, 20233 yr Author Thanks Al. The HSI mod was my first suspect, but I still had the random behavior without it. And my version of the GTN was 2.1.67, so I'll download the latest one and see if that makes a difference. Having said that, whilst there's no mention in the 3.4.4 change log, there appear to have been changes to the AP logic. For example, in 3.4.3, when turning off the AP via the control panel, it would also turn off the YD. With 3.4.4, clicking the AP button off leaves the YD on.
February 18, 20233 yr Author I have now switched to using the GTN750+WT plane, and during the last three 1-1.5 hour flights I haven't had any more AP issues.
