February 16, 20233 yr I am very new to MSFS and AAO. I probably shouldn't have been experimenting with AAO just yet... but yesterday I did. And I've created a bit of a problem for myself. Somehow a window appears in each of the aircraft that I've tried loading... and now I can't get rid of it. The window appears to contain an empty panel. The title of the window is 'AXISANDOHS FIP PANEL'. There is nothing in the window except a gray background color. The window is surrounded by a red frame. If I try to close the window by clicking on it's system control (the 'x' in the upper right of the window), the gray background goes away, but the red frame remains. I can't get rid of the red frame. I can resize the frame; just not remove it. In my pre-I'm-ready-for-this experimentation yesterday, I tried downloading and running a script for the Cessna 414 aircraft. I don't know if that caused this FIP Panel to constantly show up... or if it was something else I did from the menus of AAO. Regardless of what I did, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can undo the mess I've created? I want the FIP Panel window to stop showing up all by itself. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.
February 16, 20233 yr Commercial Member The InGame Panel is part of AAO. When you disable it, AAO scripts and profiles that rely on it will not work (check the description provided by the author if he uses the panel or not). It shows a red border because it can't communicate with AAO. Most likely, the WebAPI is either not active or cannot be reached. Using the "x" button only hides the panel, it doesn't close it (same as with GSX) To close the panel, open the MSFS menu bar and click on the AAO panel icon so the white border goes away. That closes it. Edited February 16, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

You can hide it from view either with the "x" or by setting the associated LVars (see manual). Most people who only need the BVar functionality use a Global Automated Script, set to "one shot, beginning", in AAO like this: 1·(>L:AAO_PANEL_HIDDEN,·Number) There is also a script package on the AxisAndOhs weebly website with a couple of scripts for the panel, that demonstrate what else it can do (open/close other panels, send Coherent commands, show web pages or AAO web gauges etc.) Edited February 17, 20233 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
