Blocking popup message box

Featured Replies

Hello Dave,

Sometimes an inconsistency seems to be detected by P2A on a STAR and a message box is open, for example regarding altitude constraint. The problem is that this popup blocks all further conversation process. During a flight, P2A window is usually not visible, and in case of flying with a VR headset it's impossible to know that this popup raised, until you are about to reach the TOD without hearing the Expect approach data, and Descent message. So is it possible to find a solution on this? I would see two options:

  1. Change the popup message to a non modal window to avoid main thread lock
  2. suppress the mechanism and simply add a warning message in flow log, like the "Suggested: ~" non spoken sentences
  3. Detect the anomaly during the "Validate FP" action, so before starting the flight

Thanks

Yes.  If you want the procedures recommended by SimBrief, just uncheck the 3 "ATC Assigns xxx" options and the procedures won't get changed when you File.  Or, you can import the SIMBrief plan without proceudres, then use AutoPlan and have P2A assign the procedures.
