March 11, 20233 yr In another topic we got to talk about mods that remove the dark tint of the Longitude's windows. Turns out there are two mods so I decided to do a simple comparion test. I set up a specific situation and stuck my head halfway through the window. 😉 On the left you see the tinted glass and on the right you see what's outside. Conclusions below the pictures. Default Flop's mod (https://flightsim.to/file/43498/citation-longitude-c700-tinted-windows-fix) Icedold's mod (https://flightsim.to/file/24803/no-tint-mod-for-longitude) Conclusions: 1. Both mods improve the tint in a very similar way. 2. Do you see the light glare (or whatever you call it) at the top left on the default screenshot and Icecold's one? I did not manage to get that glare at all with Flop's mod. Everytime I loaded this specific situation there was no glare with Flop's mod. That glare also has a (slightly) noticable effect on the bottom part of the window where it seems to reflect a bit of light too. Also this effect is lacking from Flop's mod. Imho if you do really want to use a mod, use the one from Icecold because Flop's mod seems to be missing a feature. BTW The sky in the default screenshot is brighter... I found that odd at first but I think it's simply due to the bloom effect. Default has more contrast and hence the higher brightness. Edited March 11, 20233 yr by tup61
March 13, 20233 yr Thank you very much for the comparison! I've now switched to the mod from Icecold. Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080
March 14, 20233 yr Interesting, sure I am using Flop's mod. Have to try the alternative. G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
