Thanks for your interest in my reference to Hemingway, Jan...!! A big fan of Hemingway, here, since my early years...🙂...In fact, when I started living in the Chicago area, decades ago, I'd visited his Birthplace Home and Museum in (suburban) Oak Park, reportedly where the (globe-trotting) author lived the first 6 years of his life. And, yes, regarding the plane-crashes: The book I mentioned above ("Under Kilimanjaro") is about his (final) African adventure (in Kenya) which was actually cut short by the two B2B plane-crashes. So, on the cover, there is brief mention of the two accidents (by the editors of the book). The (unusual) accidents happened in January 1954 (over 2-day period) ...Hemingway got his Nobel Prize in Dec. of the same year (1954), and this "African" book was completed in 1956 (surely with memories of the two near-fatal crashes fresh in his mind, but no details in the book...) ... BTW, great work, Jan, on (SIM) re-creation of the de Havilland Rapide of the rescue-plane accident... (for the Hemingway enthusiasts) ...!!
