March 27, 20233 yr I was inbound IFR on the RNAV 04R for Chandler KCHD in the 310R. The wind needed the opposite rwy 22L which has no procedures. I needed to do circle to land and the chart indicated it as possible. Problem is I didn't know how to express this intention to approach or tower in P2A which was going to land me on 04R with unsafe downwind/crosswind conditions in my opinion. I'm in VR so don't want to use the P2A interface, just verbally do the circle to land. Thanks! Edited March 27, 20233 yr by glider1
March 27, 20233 yr Commercial Member Unfortunately, the data does not include information about Circle to land options, so no approach options are available for RW22L at KCHD. You can shoot the RNAV to 04R and then just do the circle to land on 22L, ignoring the "you may have landed on the wrong runway " message after landing. It might also work to request arrival runway 22L after you break out and begin the circling to 22L, thus avoiding the wrong runway landing message.
