April 8, 20233 yr Commercial Member When you are ready for takeoff, the proper phrase is "<CallSign> ready for departure, runway zero five" or just "<CallSign> ready for departure". When you say "Request Departure runway zero five" the program interprets that as requesting a change to your departure runway and sends you back to Clearance to get that approved and a new clearance.
