AIO (All in One) special version of "Learjet_35A.cab" mod?

Featured Replies

Is there a version of @ark 's "Learjet_35A.cab" file (in the panel folder) that includes?

1. Load & Dark mod
2. Extended Tank Tip Mod
3. Alt_Hold fix mod

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Do you have a version of the Lear with the Extended Tip Tank mod installed?

I have the version with the Cold and Dark mod installed. I'd like to add the Extended Tip Tank Mod and the Alt_Hold Fix mod added if possible.

After which I plan to add your Lear35Controls3.lua to use and test my new Turtle Beach Velocity One joystick.

Edit: I'm also checking what //42's Lear 35 Immersion app might add to the mix.

Install the Extended Tip Tank mod, which as I recall involves more than just the Learjet_35A.cab file. Once that is working you can send me that cab file to update with the other mods.

I don't think I have your email, and I don't know how to attach a file in a message to you by way of Avsim.

I hope this link works.

I'm not sure I understood what you meant by 'installing' the mod. These are the instructions for the tiptank mod. So I simply copied and replaced the 3 files.

"Backup the original existing files by renaming them, e.g., aircraft_Orig.cfg, PAYLOAD_MANAGER_Orig.cab, and Learjet_35A_Orig.cab. The aircraft.cfg file goes in the main Lear35A folder, and the PAYLOAD_MANAGER and Learjet_35A cab files go in the Lear's Panel folder. Restart the sim after making these changes.

These three files are the only changes I've made."

OK, you can try the Lear_35 cab file which is inside the zip file at the link below. This cab file has the changes for the extended tip tank, cold and dark, and altitude hold fix mods:

Wow, quick reply. Thank you!

I simply replaced the extended tiptank cab file in the panel subfolder with your new 3Mods cab file. I didn't touch the "aircraft.cfg" file in the Learjet's main folder and the "payload_manager.cab" file in the panel folder from the extended tiptank mod which replaced the original Flysimware files.

It seems to be working.  I renamed the zip file as "Ark's AIO Learjet_35A_3Mods.zip" as a note to myself and for possible future use in case I need to re-install the Learjet.

For the benefit of other users, should the original Flysimware aircraft.cfg and payload_manager.files be changed when using your new 3Mods file?

Yes. The "3Mods" Learjet_35A.cab file assumes you will be using the Extended Tiptank mod (it is one of the three mods) so you need to use the aircraft.cfg and PAYLOAD_MANAGER.cab files that are part of that tiptank mod.

I'm glad I didn't remove the aircraft.cfg and the payload_manager.cab file from the extended tip tanks mod. Thank you.

Separate question: is the dynamic lighting file download available in Flysimware's website already included in the Learjet 35A v4.4 download?  I checked the file sizes and they are apparently the same sizes. I'm guessing the dynamic lighting download is unnecessary and can be ignored?

I think so, but don't know for sure.
