'Essential Packages Update' then typical vexing!

Featured Replies

I have just re-installed msfs today, after being away from it for about six months, as it was just progressively irritating to use.

Got into it after casting aside the 'Essential Packages Update' window that appeared, and did a flight.

Came back to msfs after a reboot, and then clicked on the Essential Packages Update warning, but it then took me back to the window that is being verbally narrated, with options to change some assists, and then other starting settings windows appearing, which seemed to indicate that it had forgotten my controls settings for the joystick I'd set in it today, then it took me back to a blurred window where nothing was happening.

There weren't any updates occurring.

It was just stuck.

Anybody any idea how I move forward with this ghastly vexing simulator?🥺

I would think that this is the beginning of your problem.

If it's the MS Store version, you can try a repair install and see if that fixes it else just reinstall MSFS and DO ALL THE UPDATES before you try to fly.

H'mmm that sounds a bummer, maybe I'll do that.
