September 20, 200718 yr Hi there,i really wonder that on their Homapgae are no new information about release. The latest news ist from 25th of August :-(Anyone of you have more information on the schedule ?Thanks a lot,Carsten
September 20, 200718 yr I hope some new info shows up soon. I can't even imagine how good FSX will look with FEX and OrbX. :9
September 20, 200718 yr No real market for FSX add ons, sad but true. Processor: Intel Core i7 [email protected] Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX670 OC RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3-1866 [9-9-9-24-2T] Motherboard: Asus P8Z68 Pro / Gen 3 Best Ever FSX Tip: Adaptive Vertical Sync 1/2 Refresh Rate
September 20, 200718 yr Developer releases preliminary information and releases dates, cannot make it = confusion, hype, frustration on the customer side, pressure on the developers = bad.HifiSim and Flight1 are doing it right by coming out of nowhere all of a sudden with completely unexpected releases (Active Sky, Ultimate Terrain).FEX was supposed to be released 2.5 months ago according to the Avsim advert, no? The Level-D 757 was announced little more than a year ago. PMDGs roadmap was announced around the same time. I don't get it.Pat
September 20, 200718 yr I can't help but wonder if they are now holding out for SP2? If there are DX10 features that affect the way the sky is rendered, then perhaps they are better off waiting. Better yet, maybe they are in the loop with ACES and creating features optimized for SP2 rather than reacting to issues they find post release... Tim Hughes
September 20, 200718 yr Idk, but it seems like whenver we post something like this and get all riled up they add something to their website.
September 21, 200718 yr And here you go...just hit their support forum today:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=22569Hopefully it is close. Tim Hughes
September 21, 200718 yr Hi folks, thanks for the questions and interest! We are pleased to let you know we are now only a few days from release. In the past couple of weeks of beta testing we have been dedicating every waking moment to finishing and polishing FEX to be ready for release, hence the website has been a little neglected. However we have some new major announcements to make in the course of the next couple of weeks, aside from releasing FEX, so updates will come. One small piece of information that people have asked for is the question over whether we will be offering a discount to existing FE for FS9 customers. We are now in a position to state that yes we will. The discount will be substantial but will only be available for a limited period. The reason for this limitation is FEX shares none of the code or none of the textures for FE9 and is not just a revamped version of FE but an entirely new product. However, we greatly appreciate the loyalty of our customers and therefore felt this should be rewarded.Warm regards,Chris Norris

September 21, 200718 yr Great news Chris. By the way, do you have any information to share regarding Ground Environment? Thanks for all the hard work.
September 22, 200718 yr Author Are you serious?? That may have been true a year ago, but with proc. and upgrade prices at the floor, its amazing now. Im about to land the Level-D 767 and can't wait. The market for FSX is expanding each day.....d-
