May 1, 20233 yr Only thing that remotely resembles this on my treasure hunt was something called Whazzup used in FS2004. Anybody seen, heard or use such a thing? Thanks, Mark
May 1, 20233 yr In case you have one or more Saitek Flight Instrumenst Panels (FIPs), FSXTimes has several gauges indicating trim and/ or flap setting. (I think, SPAD.neXt even allows display of the gauges on a second screen if you don't have any hardware FIPs, but I never tried this.) May 1, 20233 yr Even more than a trim indicator, I'd love a small and unobtrusive rudder indicator. Not having rudder pedals, always pretty annoying to guess at what position the pedals are in at any given time. (This goes beyond annoyance to a hazard in the Fenix on landing -- forget a "graceful" landing, I consider it a win if, after a ballet of swerves, I manage to keep the thing on the runway in the end!) I don't know of any apps for either trim or rudder, unfortunately.

I just run the C172 with the FSX Times gauges and the extended version of the VSI includes a trim indicator in the lower right corner. From head, I think the VSI is multi-shared and can be used with some other planes, too. As an alternative, you may try Fipgauges who have a separate Trim indicator. However, their gauges are more generic and not plane-specific, that's why I prefer FSXTimes. May 1, 20233 yr Author Hey Michael- Thanks for all this. I'm going to look into spad and the FIP gage. I have a second monitor that I could run this window on provided spad and FPI have the ability to drag to another screen without killing frame rates.
May 3, 20233 yr I always hate it when planes don't have an indicator for trim settings. I'm sure most real aircraft have an indicator of some kind, right? Edited May 3, 20233 yr by Kalnon
May 3, 20233 yr Author They do. For me it was access to the electric trim rocker switch. And then having to remember whether to right click or left click on which side of said rocker switch. And create a CP view to see said awkward switch. Now the gage is starring at me front and center, or I can drag it to my second monitor with no frame rate hit.
