Does AAO need to NOT be in MC mode? and does it auto switch it if its wrong? just curious, as mentioned X-kepyad does force it into that mode, and if it got "stuck" it could be an issue for some

AAO doesn't care. It processes the MIDI messages that come in, no matter how they have been created or what device they are coming in from. Both modes on the XT send different MIDI messages, so if you are using X-Touch templates for example from flightsim.to, I assume that most authors made them in the default mode, not MC. What you have to take care of is that the mode on the device is set to what your current button/axis configurations in AAO expect.

For example, the X-Touch gauge made by Funatic forces the XT into MC mode and takes it out of MC mode afterwards (you can do that with MIDI OUT messages from within AAO too).  Instead many of the native templates that I've seen expect the XT to be in default mode, not MC.

AxisAndOhs cannot be installed through the SimMarket app. At least that is how it is set up in the shop. You always have to download the installer directly from your account on SimMarket. Or so I thought.

The problem always is that SmartScreen and/or your AV regard new executable files as evil, just because they don't know them. This should even out over time though.

So I was finally able to get the update but I too had to jump through hoops (although much different ones). I finally was able to log into the website from my phone and from there had no issue downloading the MSFS.exe file. Then I transferred the file to my PC and installed easily from there.

Their final response to me was that their IT department had looked into the problem and determined that my browser was blocking Javascript, which is nonsense as I have Javascript enabled globally with the exception of a few websites, none of which are SimMarket. But regardless I've got the update. But I stand by my previous comment. Their app sux.
