Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I've just released a new version of my mod for Beech 18. It has many new features. Hope you enjoy it.

Log V1.2

NEW:
-New Oil system (custom code) with:
Oil quantity (Persistent between flights).
Oil comsumption.
Oil leaks.
Oil temperatures and pressure that not only derive from engine calculation but also influence engine operation.
Oil tanks placed on their real location that influence flight model according to their load.

-New oil shutter levers operation, separated by engine. (custom code).
-New oil bypass code with increased functionalities.
-New oil cutoff buttons.

-New modern propeller version replacing old legacy with new behaviour.

-New advanced [FUEL SYSTEM] replacing old [FUEL]:
New tanks usage logic
Minimum fuel pressure logic (see guide).
New booster pumps logic (see guide).
Fuel system pipes modeled with residual fuel quantity.
New Cross-feed modeled.
Fuel consumption adjusted to more correct numbers.

-New startup logic. (see guide).

-Improved flight model and engine perfornance.
-Very small improved free castering wheel behaviour.

-Cockpit "Free air" gauge with new freezing temperature marking
-Generators switchs replaced by Fuel booster pumps (see guide).

-Improved guide

-Small adjustments in electric load on several systems.

FIXES:
-Mouse can now be used to operate throttle levers.
-Fuel tanks quantity indicators now show tenths of fuel instead of gallons (maching real planes).
-Internal sound now reacts to all 3 windows instead of just 2.
-Turn coordinator marks adjusted to match standard rate coordinated turn.
-Carb mixt. temp. gauge now dependent of "avionics master" switch

Update v1.3 is out.

Log V1.3

-New external sounds.
-Improved interior sounds with phasing and loop problem solved or at least mitigated.
-New custom sounds for rough running engine.

-Detonation ignition modeled.(Due to the effect complexity, it requires reading the manual to be fully understood).
-Rough running engine modeled.
-Persistent fuel quantity.

Electrical system improvements:
-New batteries: persistent voltages, voltage decay with low temperature, longer time to recharger under low temperatures, faster time de deplete its levels with low temperature.
-Almost all systems amperage changed to match real counterparts.
-Some electric circuits that didn’t have any system associated were removed.
-Now Nav2 radio, transponder, DME and NDB radios have their own electric circuit with correct electric load that is tied with their state.
P.S: electric system overhaul is still WIP.

-Improved flight model much noticed during take-offs and landings.
-Improved ground handling when free-castering wheel is in use. (Still far from ideal due to MSFS SDK limitations).

-Engine performance adjusted. A little more speed and less fuel consumption.

Less intrusive stall warning horn during landing and takeoff.

-Many small tweaks and fine tunings like EGT, engine wear, oil system, anti-ice system, etc.

Updated manual with index, information on detonation, electric system and detailed checklists for all phases of flight.

Alex
thank you for this amazing mod

Everything works amazing except pitch and ruder feel like I am on autopilot all the time
 I’m fighting it
It requires dramatic amount of input and when I let it go it’s springs back
It feels like I am on autopilot even though it’s switched off
I checked  my shortcuts and experimented with shortcuts to deactivate all the autopilot functions and I don’t getting anywhere
When I deactivate your mod the default aircraft, even though flies badly, controls in a normal way.
All my other aircraft also behaved normally.
Again thank you for your hard work
Regards
