Axis and Ohs not starting

Featured Replies

Hello!

AAOs is not starting anymore... yesterday it worked normaly, I started with setting up controls for the Black Square Bonanza. Today I wanted to finish but AAOs is not starting anymore...

I always start it before starting MSFS, today I just get a little taskbar icon but the UI itself is not appearing. AAOs appears in the task manager and I am able to end the task here but no UI.

I already tried restarting the PC several times without success. All other programs working as normal.

Which files can I provide you for failure search?

Thank you!

Okay, I THINK  I found the problem... As I use WinWing MFDs I also have "Simapp Pro" installed - this is the main software from winwing - and while the hardware is awesome, the software is... "word that is not allowed on public forums".

It seems I had to shut down completely, power down the winwing hardware completely and restart to get simapp pro recognize the hardware again. Now AAOs is starting as normal... I guess the two programs where interfering with one another!?

Possibly the USB hardware itself or it's driver is incompatible and causing an error. I would have to check your AAO startup log to have an opinion about that.

When you get AAO to run, go to Hardware->Device Blacklist and check if the device appears in the list on the left. If it does, move it to the right with the "Ignore" button. Do this for every device in the list on the left that isn't a game controller where you are 100% sure that you are using it in AAO. Everything else must be "Ignored" - including all keyboards and mice, the StreamDeck and all SaitekPanels. If you have those. Restart AAO after doing this.

If it happens again, please send your proof of purchase to the support address (last page of the AAO manual). Possibly include the AAO startup log (\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhsMSFS\LAAO_Startup_log.txt)

As far as "interference" between programs go - that is next to impossible. Or it should be. AAO is a standard Windows WPF application, and as long as all other programs behave as per Microsoft .Net framework specifications, things like that just cannot happen.
