CameraPositionX, CTD while adjusting Maddog cameras in P3Dv5

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! I purchased CameraPositionX a couple of days ago, and now I'm trying to adjust in P3D v5 the Maddog cameras to my liking. Seems very promising, and a lot better than the previous method I had. However, as soon as I save or delete two or three cameras, P3D crashes, with no error message at all. I have to shut CPX down and then restart both P3D and CPX. Sometimes, P3D crashes with just working on one camera.

If I'm lucky, I only get an Unhandled Exception error, where it says that "Value of '999' is not valid for 'Value'. 'Value' should be between 'Minimum' and 'Maximum'". I find then that some camera definitions have PanAcceleratorTime=999. I never set this. How can I fix these errors?

For reference, I'm running both P3D v5.4 and CPX as administrator. The crash occurs no matter the airport I use.

Issues like these are usually caused by invalid camera definititions, either in the aircraft.cfg or even the global cameras.cfg file.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my end (I have the P3D V4 variant of the MD, but I assume that it would have the same camera definitions).  Unfortunately, the installed MD crashes P3d V4 right away, and my AntiVirus doesn't let me reinstall it from scratch (even with AV turned off the installer aborts, the problem seems to be that it creates a temporary file that my computer considers as hazardous, and since that temporary file is in a different place every time I run the installer, I can't exclude it). Not sure how to proceed with this.

Thanks for your reply, Oliver. I never checked the global cameras.cfg, but I took a look to the original camera definitions (I backed them up, just in case), and couldn't find any clues or anything out of normal.
