I believe "Being There" was Peter Sellers' favourite movie and "Dr Strangelove" was next.

For me Being There is my favourite, I remember seeing it decades ago in the local independent cinemas and only a small handful of us were laughing at it, a lot of people just didn't get that kind of comedy. I also saw The Party at the same cinema and everyone laughed at that one, you couldn't make a movie like The Party anymore.
