October 16, 200718 yr Anyone using FSX at 2560x1600 on a 30" monitor, any comments on performance frame rate, what video card?A local store has a deal on the Samsung 305T with $200 off a 8800GTS or 8800GTX as well if you buy both... October 17, 200718 yr Fsx is not resolution limited like other games because it is so cpu driven. I get the same frame rate at 1280x1024 as I get at 3840x1024 with my triplehead. As long as you are running an 8800 of some sort you will be more than fine for that rez.________________________________________________________________________________________________Intel D975XBX2 'Bad Axe 2' | Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.20Ghz | 2 GB Super Talent DDR2 800 | Big Typhoon VX | eVGA 8800GTS @ 565/900 | Seagate 2x320GB SATA RAID-0 | OCZ GameXStream 700W | Creative X-Fi | Silverstone TJ-09BW | Matrox Triplehead Setup
October 17, 200718 yr About the same number of pixels in your setup to a 30" monitor too. October 17, 200718 yr I'm running 2560x1600 on a 30" monitor with dual 8800 GTX cards.I see no noticeable framerate difference from the 1600x1200 21" I was using before.
October 17, 200718 yr Yes I am running the above monitor at 2560x1600 with out any real problems although my frame rates are a little lower than on my 245T at 1920x1200. BTW I am running a Nvidia 7950GX2 on a Asus M2N32-sli deluxe MOBO with a "lowly" AMD X2 4800 and get about 19-21fps on the 30" and 22-24 on the 24" with SVC pack1 and water on 2 low under both XP pro and Vista Ultimate. Please note it does not seem to make much of a Difference (at least for me) in regards to frame rates no matter what version of windows I run FSX under.Dan Martin Team Flight Ontario.
October 17, 200718 yr Commercial Member I see almost no difference in FPS at 1920X1200 on my new LG 24" LCD vs my old 19" CRT at 1280X1024... I'd imagine that'll probably generally hold at 2560X1600 too. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

October 17, 200718 yr I can get a open box 305T for $200 off, and keep my 8800GTS 640. I checked the monitor out its perfect, had just been put on the shelf for a demo but never used. No original box.OrI can get a brand new 305T for $200 more than the demo, but then get $200 off a 8800GTX for 8800 Ultra, and sell my 8800GTS 640mb.I did notice with the 8800GTS and the 305T most of the time you can lock at 25 fps if in single monitor mode. With a 2nd display enabled even if not used in FSX it impacts fps. Also in a few places where frame rate drops below 25 at full res, if I reduce res to 1920x1080 I get the frames back, which suggests a faster GPU would help.Anyone with a GTX it would be great to hear how it does...
