July 23, 20232 yr Hello ! I purchased the P-38 Lightning from the MSFS2020 Steam Marketplace and would like to not have to use the brakes to taxi the aircraft (turn left or right). I already sent an email to Flyingiron requesting this change, however, until today they haven't answered me... Does anyone know how I can "free" the front wheel steering of the P-38? Thanks for the help!
July 23, 20232 yr I very much doubt you'll see them implement something the aircraft simply didn't have. The P-38 has a free castoring nose wheel and is turned by engine thrust and brakes, so I wouldn't hold my breath for them to waste any resources on implementing that. July 23, 20232 yr I find the rudders alone are quite effective at taxi speeds, but below that, you have to combine rudders with some touches on the brakes. Sorry, but brakes are needed. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
July 25, 20232 yr Author I could make this change myself if the Flygrion P38 had the "Aircraft.cfg" file, but it doesn't... I looked in all your files for the command line where you can make this change, but I didn't find anything... Thanks to you for your help! Aloysio S. Paredes
