Auto Door Close Fenix/GSX

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have a short question regarding auto door simulation of the Fenix together with GSX. Sorry if this is a well known issue but I couldn't find anything about it:

GSX is closing the PAX doors and removing the stairs automatically right after boarding is completed. There is no "waiting for your action" message etc. Is there an option to disable auto door sim in GSX (with Fenix)? It worked perfectly a few weeks ago...must have changed with the last GSX update but I'm not 100% sure. I've had the same problem in the past but can't remember how I actually fixed it.

Auto Door Simulation in the Fenix is set to off. Problem exists even with FS2Ccrew not started so it has nothing to do with that. All PAX doors are set to "door with open/close checks as standard door #X".

Thanks for your answers.

Best regards,

Mirko Hespeler

I dont know exactly (dont have the programs open right now).  However, check out the 'aircraft configuration' in the GSX menu.  It might be handled there.

I asked about this on the GSX forums.

With any A/C when using stairs, once boarding is complete the stairs get removed automatically, where as when using a airbridge it remains until requested to remove.

Its been added to list of suggestions, so maybe you can bump the post and also request it, more people that do quicker it will be fixed 😛

Boarding Complete - Using Stairs (fsdreamteam.com)

Already been addressed !!!
UPDATE – 2.6.7
July 29th, 2023

- GSX (all versions) NEW: Added option to control how Stairs will behave. The checkmark has 3 positions: Automatic, which is like previous versions, Semi-Automatic, which means GSX will Attach stairs automatically, but will leave the user in charge with detaching, and Manual, which means GSX will never operate the Stairs on its own, it will be completely user-controlled, with the “Operate Stairs” command.

So does this fix the door automatically closing when boarding is completed? Or does it just leave the stairs/jetway attached?
