IS this possible with pilot2atc?

Featured Replies

I'd like to get this software for a single purpose; I'd like to open the software in mid flight, load flightplan from simbrief, and ask the ATC to vector me for ILS approaches. This is for the times that i have difficulties understanding the charts for certain approaches.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Yes, It's possible, but not the way the software was designed to be used.

Mulitple ways to do this.

First, after connecting, and when ready to start getting vectors, you can make contact with Center or Approach controller and verbally request vectors to the ILS at xxxx where xxxx is the ICAO code for your aiport, like EGLL (Echo Golf Lima Lima) for Heathrow.

If you want more interaction, during cruise, you could do the following:

  • Connect to SIM
  • File Flight Plan
  • Make initial call to the nearest Center controller "Center, <CallSign> at Flight level three two zero"

Center would then give you a squawk code and start controlling your flight.

Then, when you want to start receiving vectors, make the request for vectors as above.

Use the 10 day free trial to try it out and see how it works.
