All right, Cosne-sur-Loire (ICAO:LFGH) is a very tiny field in the center of France. But I’ve added a lot a detail (I mean a lot) to create immersion and make it as real as possible for a small General Aviation field. Located on La Loire river and the famous french castles, it has all the basic of small GA field in France: one runway, few hangars, the famous Loire Aviation repair shop for Robin, a single Unicom freq, no tower but Avgas is available and even a helipad for emergency services ! Enjoy this classic in MSFS to visit La Loire and the great surroundings landscape.

Why this update? As many field in France, there’s a big construction project ongoing adding a big solar farm all around the unused spaces of this small airfield. This MSFS update reflects this big construction work and some other improvement as well to get as close as reality. It will be updated according to the difference development phases. This first update includes some solar panels which are not yet installed (pole only visible in real) but that will be soon in place.

A new free update v3.1.0 for the Cosne-sur-Loire (LFGH) airfield scenery addon is available, compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

Although it is a very small airfield, it fits perfectly into the ambiance of VFR flights in MSFS. This update, fueled by a real pilot’s visit on July 30, 2025, introduces several enhancements to improve our general aviation flight simulation experience. The major improvement is the as-real-as-it-gets solar farm surrounding now the entire runway, giving a special feel to your approach, complemented by the Loire River for the well-known challenging runway 11 approach path.

Changelog:

• Solar Farm Expansion: The surrounding solar farm has been updated with extensions to the north and south.
• Helipad Marking: The H marking on the helipad has been updated for better accuracy.
• ULM Hangar Update: The ULM hangar has been refreshed using a MSFS Library object from Asobo’s Saucats scenery.
• Service Roads Addition: All service roads around the solar farm near the runway have been added.
• Enhanced Recreation Areas: The Karting racetrack, Mini golf, and Paintball area have been enhanced.
• Perimeter Fence Rebuild: The entire perimeter fence has been rebuilt to match the current real-world setup.
