I gather the trade-off is that you will end up with a 8-core processor but with the 3D cache when running games like MSFS.  Given how poorly threaded MSFS is, and how much it loves cache, it's probably going to result in a noticeable improvement. When I went from a 5800x to a 5800x3D the improvement was significant - I think it was 10-15FPS from 40-45 to 50-60. But only you can determine if that money spent is worth it to you. 🙂
