August 16, 20232 yr What's the best way to move the P2ATC installation from one disk to another while keeping all my settings (for X-Plane)? (save : .../Users/xxx/AppData/Roaming/P2A200/*.* .../Pilot2ATC/Data/P2ABackup/*.* .../Pilot2ATC/Data/Docs/*.* + ??? Reinstall and copy these files? or otherwise? Thanks for your advice and congratulations on this wonderful application. August 16, 20232 yr Commercial Member I would do a fresh install on the new disk. First the full installation with either Navigraph or NavDataPro data, then the beta, if you want to use that. Then, if you've made changes to your Taxi Data, using taxi Mnt, copy the Backup folder you mentioned above along with the .../Data/P2ABaseData.mdf and P2ABaseData_log.ldf database files to the corresponding location on the new disk. Also copy the dupApts.txt file to the new Data folder. If you've altered the Airlines list, move the AirlineCodes.csv file as well. Other settings, etc. stored in the .../UserName/AppData/Roaming/P2A_200 folder are shared across the PC for your user name so they should not be a problem. They will just work. Docs get reinstalled with the software. Dave
August 16, 20232 yr Author Thank you Dave. I had installed P2ATC on the system disk. I'll move it to the disk reserved for X-Plane. August 16, 20232 yr Author Hello Dave I can't find the duApts.txt file. Where is it? I guess you'll have to start by uninstalling P2ATC! August 16, 20232 yr Commercial Member No. That file may not exist, depending on your settings. If it does, it would be in the Data folder. You definitely don't have to uninstall P2ATC. In fact, you can just install to the new drive and start it up if you haven't been making changes with TaxiMnt and importing non-AIRAC airports, etc. Once you get it working in the new location, just delete the Pilot2ATC_2021_x64 folder on the old drive. June 1, 20242 yr Hei, a follow-on question here: if you move to a new pc will you have to do the voice training again, or is it included in one/some of the /user/xxx/appdata files? Regards Tony
June 1, 20242 yr Commercial Member Windows voice training is managed by Windows so the simple answer is that you will need to do it again. There are ways to find and transfer the training files from one Windows system to another, but you would need to search the web for how to do this with your specific situation. It's really easier to just go through the training again. Dave
