questions re NZMF

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I just bought and installed the NZA NZMF package. I'm having a few oddities show up, less to do with the new NZMF I suspect and more to do with MSFS, but I've posted some shots in the screenshots forum -

and I'd be interested in peoples suggestions.

I'm running with Orbx's NZ Mesh, I have tried NZA's suggestions about turning PG off/on and I don't use any kind of caching in the sim. I've also uninstalled the appropriate airports within the MSFS NZ world update package as per the NZA instructions. Sim restarted, PC reboorted, all that malarkey, and I still get what I see in the pix I posted.

Maybe I should just stay in Kansas. Nice and flat there.

cheers

Have you tried without Orbx' NZ Mesh? I think these two mods are not compatible.

I don't think Orbx's NZ Mesh is compatible with NZ World Update.

I have just removed it - I could have sworn it wasn't active before as it wasn't marked as active in addons linker - and yes, the mysterious floating cliff face is gone, so I guess that was behind that issue.

But all the mountains still look like smooth fluffy hills.

The NZMF package is very, very impressive. If I wander around at ground level with the drone it all looks amazing. But the surrounding (MSFS) scenery is awful. Much as I love the look of this airstrip up close, I can't bear to look up! I suspect I won't be visiting there much.

Maybe in 2024.

I agree, Orbx' NZ Mesh looks way better than the Asobo version.
