Is Toposim mesh still available?

Recommended Posts

I am interested in buying this mesh but am a little concerned about the lack of activity around this project. There has not been a post on Toposim's Facebook page in almost 4 years, and over 2 years on the websites forum. Also, Justin's last visit to this forum was 3 years ago as of this month. I sent an email to the one posted on his Facebook page today but thinking I may not get a response. I am tempted to buy just my province to see if the purchase goes through or not, but am a senior on a tight budget so I can't afford to throw money away. What I would like to know is has anyone here successfully made a purchase from the site in the past year? Has anyone been able to download one of their previously purchased products in the recent past?

Thanks for any info you can provide, William.

I moved this to the FSX forum based on your post in another forum about getting back into that sim.

There's nothing I can tell you about the level of support and activity that you haven't already observed, so Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware) is the advice I'd offer w/r/t a Toposim purchase today.

If you do opt to get it, it's also sold on Simmarket, so I'd think you would preserve some ability to re-download later by buying there.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware it was available on Simmarket as well. That is good to know and thank you very much for letting me know.

Had a look at SimMarket and unfortunately they do not offer the entire continents or the entire world packages. Also the prices are much higher and in Euros so converted to Canadian dollars it would be ridiculously expensive to get the entire continent of North America, never mind getting the entire world. That is unfortunate as this product is so highly recommended by users of the product. There are other options though and I guess I'll just end up going with one of those.

Thanks for the tip but already have it. They actually posted a torrent link on this forum in 2017 and it is still working and is up to date (just downloaded it a couple of days ago). Only took a few hours to download and that was over wifi connection. I tried the website first, but gave up as that would have taken days to complete.
