Saw "Fly Boys"....its awful.

Went to the movie Fly Boys last night. I was highly disappointed. The acting is weak, the air scenes are a little too theatrical/unrealistic for the period and generally I thought the plot was both predictable and thin. Frankly, I'm an airplane NUT, but I got bored. We left early. Just a bit too stereotypical with not enough plot line. Don't waste your money IMHO. Eric

Bob Hoover likes it! :D And so did I. It doesn't rank up with my best aviation movies, but was still enjoyable. L.Adamson

It was a mass-market crowd pleaser, pure and simple, and while it fell short of high art in most areas, I enjoyed it for what it was. Just don't expect anything wonderful, and don't expect it to really be about aviation all that much.

I didnt know it was by the creators of Independence day. That explains a lot. I think the flying saucers and the Spads had the same flight models.
