Hi All...

I having a real time trying to figure out why I get sound from ATC at default airoprts....but not at ANY

(except KASE Aspen) of my pay airports ???

I get all the other sounds...engine start and stop;wheels up;flaps sounds;wind sounds...but no ATC (just at my pay airports.

All 23 of them were added using the .xml method using the Lorby organizer.

I'm pulling out what little hair I have left at 79 !!!

I've read most of the posts here  and on P3d Forum...but no real solutions except for maybe total re-install

or Clien/Content replacement.

But why should ATC work on some airports...but not all ??

By no ATC do you mean e.g., no ATIS information at payware airports?

I get no sound from ATIS or TOWER or GROUND....but....at my local airport KEZF which is a 'default'

airport on P3dv5.4....I get all sounds !!!

Which payware airports have the problem?

Possibly I have one or two of the same for testing?

Hiya Vaughan.....

Here's a list of most of the affected pay airports...KIAD..KBOS..KMSY..KTPA..KDEN..KSAN..KSFO..KMIA..KLAS..KBWI.

The only payware airport which is not affected is KASE Aspen.

Tried the 'de-bugging'....no luck.

Even installed P3d V4.0 vanilla on a separate drive... for comparison ....still no sound from ATC

I have an Audigy Sound Blaster card on my MB....in place of the Realtech Sound that comes with my Asus Z590-Plus.

But it gives me sound at default airports....but not the pay 'ports

I dunno !!!

A test.

 

Go to KDEN (P3D5)

Bring up the Map and ATC ATIS like in my screenshot.

Do a screenshot of what you see.

no difference....still no sound....except when using a default  airport....and KASE

From your screenshot I can see you are getting ATC ATIS (text) instructions but without a video I cannot hear all the simulator sounds.

Also, I see you are using a default FSX aircraft for testing. 
Do you have FSX installed?
How did it get into P3D5?

Looks like your setup includes some porting and some moving things around.

You previously mentioned:

I do not use Lorby.

So, just to verify:
Does that mean e.g. KDEN was initially installed with the developer’s installer then “moved” with Lorby?
Did your problem start after installing the sound card or after using Lorby?

Gonna have to leave it 'as is' for right now....RV'ing to Texas from Va. for the next 2 weeks...

No flying in the RV allowed !!!

Problem solved.....it was the "Sound Blaster Audigy" card !!!!

Remove it....and went to the Asus Realtek chip sound source

and all airports are getting sound from ATC..
